During 3 weeks, from November 21th to December 10th, the Library of Marseille and ZINC receive 3 librarians from Tripoli and Beyrouth, to discover practical experience of cultural action, from reading to digital activities, carried out in Marseille libraries and in ZINC, with partners such as COBIAC or primary and preparatory schools. The visits represent an opportunity to develop a relationship, which could lead to projects of cooperation.
From the beginning of the stay, digital art has been introduced, thanks to a visit to Vasarely Foundation, during Gamerz festival, dedicated to multimedia art. Digital culture is still on the agenda, through the introduction of projects dealing with digital culture and the participation to practical workshops. For instance, librarians have experienced shooting, thanks to the workshop “filmed field” proposed by Magalie Herbert.
These regular stays of Mediterranean professional are part of the MEDiakitab project, which is still developing.
This program is integrated in the CULTURE TIC project, supported by the “French Ministère des affaires étrangères”, the Marseille City and PACA Region, leaded by ZINC.
