Graduate studies in literature at the French Department of the University of Alexandria and a Trainer of Trainers Degree from the University of Besançon (France), Soha Wakim has developed a rich and varied experience in the fields of education and training.
For 13 years, she taught French to students of middle and high schools of Alexandria before heading Girard School. She also obtained a certification «Habilitation des Correcteurs et examinateurs du DELF A1, A2, B1, B2» from the Centre international d’études pédagogiques (CIEP), Sèvres – France. Thereafter, she was appointed educational advisor to the General Secretariat of Catholic Schools of Egypt. She was also a coordinator for a monitoring committee which organized twinning between middle and high schools of Alexandria and Marseilles, Arles, La Ciotat. Thus she followed and evaluated media workshops and trainings in TIC involving school’s librarians.
In July 2001, she was decorated by Minister of the French National Education, in recognition for her efforts in promoting the French language in Egypt.
Since 2011, she lives in the United States where she teaches as a French lecturer at Bergen Community College in New Jersey, at The City College of New York and John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.
On Sepembre 2015, she obtained a Master 2 Degree – Research in Educational Sciences at Université Catholique de l’Ouest – Angers – France.
