Graduated in library and archive sciences, Reem Abu Jaber has been working for more than 15 years in consultancy, strategic fundraising and cultural management projects in the field of reading and non formal education. She successfully accomplished institutional building and conflict management in less privileged areas. She also led family literacy and psychosocial support for traumatized children. She was awarded France’s National Order of Merit in 2011, the insignia of Officer, for her achievements and dedication to children’s cultural and educational developement in the Gaza Strip. She founded Qattan children centre and managed it during twelve years. Since 2014, she has been managing Nawa for Culture and Arts Association.
