The BMVR network is composed by:
• 8 libraries spread out in the greater Marseille area:
• 1 library with a regional vocation: The Alcazar
• 2 sector libraries in the Bonneveine and the Merlan
• 5 district libraries which one based in the Metro Castellane
The BMVR aims at giving writing, image, sounds, and ITC large public access. Thus it gives leisure access, information diffusion, search, culture, education by preserving the diversity and choice. The entrance is free of charge. The possibility to consult and loan documents is offered.
In the BMVR libraries take place a large diversity of events: exhibitions, debates, lectures, projections, concerts, writing and plastic art workshops, storytelling shows, readings, tools ITC trainings, The BMVR library tour.
With publishing of cultural agendas, in libraries, in web sites, or through other media, people are kept informed of events.
